  Super Eagles of Nigeria goalkeeper, Maduka Okoye, has joined Dutch Eredivisie side, Sparta Rotterdam on a two-year deal with an option to extend for another two years subject to a medical examination. In a post on their official website, Sparta confirmed their deal with the Nigerian who holds one cap for the Super Eagles after replacing Francis Uzoho in an international friendly against Brazil. Okoye who has found himself behind Daniel Akpeyi, Francis Uzoho and Ikechukwu Ezenwa in the Super Eagles pecking order and is still eligible to feature for the German national team has expressed delight at the deal which he believes will make it easier for him to claim the Eagles number one spot.
