Super Eagles of Nigeria midfielder, Alex Iwobi has given his fans something to cheer about with the message that he will be “back soon’’ from an injury that has affected his playing time this season. The Everton summer signing was beginning to display the qualities that attracted the Toffees to him before a hamstring injury hit him last month in the 11th minute of a game against Arsenal FC, his former employers. Since then, the creative midfielder has been absent from the playing scene.

However, the update from 23-year-old Iwobi suggests he could be in line for a return in no distant time so he will be available for selection under new manager, Carlo Ancelotti who has barely seen the summer signing in action for the Toffees since he took over the reigns at Goodison Park.

Iwobi who has managed to score twice and provided one assist in as much as 20 games for Everton this season will surely be aiming to improve on his statistics when he finally hits the pitch for the Merseyside outfit. It will equally be interesting to see where the Nigerian midfielder fits into the plans of his Italian boss who he has not played a minute under.
