The globe in this 21st century is increasingly becoming digitalized and Nigerians have not failed to use the platform presented in the tech industry to earn a living for themselves and promote the Nigerian economy. While many see the global advancement in tech as a medium to earn a living, few have chosen to see beyond that and have made remarkable strides in using the unique opportunity presented by the digital industry to motivate others while also establishing businesses and creating empowerment schemes to help the teeming global population to advance their skills and make the world a better place. Ifeoma Ajumobi is a perfect example of very few individuals that have used the avenue presented by the digital industry to push the world to greater heights.

Ifeoma Ajumobi is a media personel who hails from Anambra State, South-East Nigeria. Popular as Ify-Melodi, Ajumobi’s expertise is wide in scope as she is also a brands promoter, top MC, sales and marketing executive, event manager, public speaker, and the owner of media powerhouse, Mel-Media Entertainment (a media platform where she hosts her online TV shows and events). Currently, Ify-Melody is one of the profound On-Air-Personalities in south-eastern Nigeria . She is a radio presenter with popular radio station, Solid 100.9FM and anchors an outstanding business program on the station titled Business Matters.

In the business world, Ify-Melody has made a huge impact as she has successfully engineered the establishment of numerous startups or businesses and has equally motivated numerous youth towards becoming gainfully employed through her programs and initiatives. In a bid to close the gaps in the digital world in the south-east, Ajumobi has seen to the organization of various empowerment training in Digital Marketing Skill for youths to equip them with skills in a world that has become increasingly tech-oriented.

Also, she has mentored and trained young people aspiring to have a career as media professionals to better their craft and has equally encouraged, supported, and participated in programs and initiatives designed for the empowerment of youth. Such initiatives include Accelerate Labs (a Microsoft supported project and business incubator program that discovered and groomed youth with great business ideas and aided in birthing these ideas). Being an expert in sales and marketing, Ify-Melody has not only opened innovative and groundbreaking opportunities for the organization she works with, but it has also presented her with the opportunity to work with high profile industries and organizations in Enugu state such as the Enugu Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Mines and Agriculture (ECCIMA), and the Enugu SME Centre.

An ardent promoter of Igbo values and culture especially as regards principles relating to hard work, integrity, and collaboration, Ify-Melody through her numerous outreach and radio programs has inspired the Igbo people, inclusive of youth and adults to become patriotic and accept their originality. She has been consistent in researching and bringing to limelight great AlaIgbo stories (Igboland stories) of very young and enterprising Igbo youth around the world. To promote this course, she travels to different locations at her own cost to cover these stories and publicize them, which is evident in her radio programmes and social media pages. As a travel blogger with great focus on covering and creating awareness about beautiful tourist sites and attractions in Igbo Land, Ify-Melody has equally organized tours which have drawn the attention of the globe to the uniqueness of AlaIgbo.
