Faraday Okoro’s directorial debut film, Nigerian Prince is ready to appear in cinemas on the 19th of October. The film won the Tribeca Film Festival 2017’s one million dollars AT&T grant and soon after was bought over by Vertical Entertainment. The film follows the story of Eze; a stubborn American teenager of Nigerian descent who is sent to live in Nigeria against his will. He teams up with his cousin, an internet fraudster to help him raise the money required to return to the US. The story was inspired by events in Okoro’s life. Nigerian Prince is written and directed by Faraday Okoro. It features Tina Mba, Bimbo Manuel, Toyin Oshinaike, Gregory Ojefua, Rita Edward, Chinaza Uche and Kelechi Udegbe. Spike Lee executive produced it, while Biyi Bandele and Oscar Hernandez-Topete produced. It will start showimg in cinemas in America on the 19th of October 2019.
