1. Minister of Petroleum, Dieziani Alison-Madueke, has been appointed the President of the Gas Exporting Countries Forum (GECF) at the 16th Ministerial meeting of the forum in Doha, Qatar. 2. The Nigeria Postal Service sector may have added about N289.7 billion to the economy within the last four years. The sector was able to deliver about 285 million mails across the country and created about 34,500 jobs directly and indirectly within the same period. 3. Firstmonie, the FirstBank mobile money services platform has been awarded the ‘Best Mobile Money Operator in Nigeria’ by the EFInA financial inclusion awards. 4. Twelve finalists have been announced in UBA Foundation’s National Essay Competition. The Federal Government says about N20 billion was spent on manpower development under the National Seafarer Development Programme (NSDP) in four years. 10. Globacom, in partnership with the Aviation Ministry, has equipped aviation workers with a special communications package that will enable them to communicate with their families at almost no cost.
