Nigeria’s two-time former Minister of Finance, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, has been appointed as one of two latest addition to the Board of Directors at Twitter Inc. The brilliant economist joins the board alongside American lawyer and 11th President of the World Bank, Robert Zoellick, as an independent Board Director. The announcement was made official on Thursday by Co-Founder, Jack Dorsey, in a tweet that partly read: Speaking on the development, Twitter’s Executive Chairman ―Omid Kordestani― said:
“Ngozi and Bob [Robert] are distinguished leaders with unparalleled global perspective and policy expertise. We are confident they will be incredible assets to Twitter as we continue to focus on driving transparency and making Twitter a safer, healthier place for everyone who uses our service.” — Kordestani
