Music Video We Love: ‘Wait For Me’ – Johnny Drille

Our music video for the week is from the talented folk/alternative singer, songwriter, producer, and sound engineer, Johnny Drille. The song is a mellow love song from a boy to his girl who he leaves behind as he travels. The video shows Johnny getting acquainted with a girl before leaving for military training, but returns to the sad news that the object of his love is no more. Drille, has been singing from an early age in his father’s church, and later tried is hands on music production. He contested in the 6th Edition of the MTN Project Fame in 2013 and came a distant 10th. This did not stop his drive. Even though he had been singing for years, his work went largely unnoticed until he released his cover of Di’ja’s song, Awww, in January 2015. This attracted Don Jazzy, who quickly got him a contract with the record label. He is currently signed to Mavin Records.
