This year’s Valentine’s Day concert, Love Like A Movie 2, held at the Eko Hotel and Suites on Saturday, featured amazing theatrics and stunts. Just like the year before, the Love Roller-Coaster themed concert organised by Darey Art Alade featured some memorable moments in Nigeria.
The headliners of the show put up epic performances. Kelly Rowland, Waje, Tiwa Savage, Timi Dakolo, Mo Eazy, Zaina, Eva, Muna and Darey Art Alade thrilled the audience to an exciting love season that would linger for a long time.
The bigwigs in the entertainment and business sectors gave added lustre to the occasion. US RnB singer, Brandy Norwood; MD UBA, Phillip Oduoza; MD Nigeria Breweries, Nicholas Vervelde, CEO Sahara Group, Tonye Cole, Mai Atafo, Dede Mabiaku, DJ Jimmy Jatt, DJ Spinall, Sound Sultan, Gbemi Olateru-Olagbegi, Sasha among many others.
The show which was centered around love kicked off with a crane dropping Art-Alade, singing on the stage to the excitement of the audience who gave him applauds. He sang a number of his popular tunes and some evergreen love ballads from different artistes worldwide.
The crane remained a major part of the show as some of the dancers performed their routines while hanging on it or dangling from it.
After the show, Art-Alade expressed how glad he was to host the second edition successfully. He said that music is one of the biggest exports from Nigeria at the moment, and that having such a show in Nigeria was a sign of advancement.
“We have come a long way in our art; we are glad to take it to the world or bring the world to see it here,’’ he said.
