Currently running for the 4th year in a row, the Lagos Startup week is an annual celebration of innovators, startups, and the burgeoning community of technology-driven businesses. The week-long festival celebrates the rich startup culture in the African space, replete with talks from innovators and high-rise business people, master classes, pitch sessions and networking.
The theme for this year’s event is ‘Getting Started’ and it will drive conversations that border around the intricacies of starting out as an entrepreneur in tech. The program will kick off on Monday the 24th of September 2018, till Saturday the 29th of September 2018.
Behind the enlightening event is Prime Startups, a company that is championing the course of local startups and fostering entrepreneurship across Africa. The company also supports startups by helping to accelerate their growth through a series of programmes and events.
The opening ceremony kicks off at Landmark Towers, Victoria Island, Lagos. The event will open with an exciting session tagged “Zero to $1 Million”, an insightful talk on growing a business right from scratch. The panellists would share valuable insights on doing business in Lagos. It starts at 5:00 PM on Monday, September 24.
Some of the other sessions that will be featured in the event include:
Startup Finance Boot Camp – a master class by Money Africa aimed at teaching entrepreneurs how best to manage their finances.
Startup Lagos Tour – a tour of selected startups in Lagos showcasing their innovations and hearing the stories from the founders.
Women Who Launch – a targeted event to push the limits of women’s advancement in business.
Leaders in Tech – a strictly by invitation informal networking event for entrepreneurs, investors and policymakers.
DevJam – an international conference targeted at developers and featuring talks from a host of top software engineers.
