Job-Fair1   Jobberman has partnered JobFairNg on its upcoming job fairs which will hold in Lagos, Port Harcourt and Abuja. Job fairs are a great way for job seekers to explore potential employment opportunities and learn more about companies who are actively hiring in their neighborhood. t is advisable for job seekers to take the time to attend a job fair or two when seeking employment. Job fairs are especially important in this difficult job market where employers are looking for quality and according to HR managers, some applicants are just simply unemployable. Even though job fairs are typically crowded and busy, you may be able to meet your next employer. Job fairs are usually FREE for candidates to attend. The setting normally includes company tables or booths where CVs can be collected and business cards exchanged. There has been a huge buzz around job fairs lately in Nigeria. Besides employment opportunities, job fairs and career expos offer networking programmes, resume reviews and workshops for job seekers. Because you will be competing with the crowd, you need to show employers how much of an asset you can be to their organizations by doing your homework in advance. Have a list of questions for the recruiter and have at least twenty copies of your resume (imagine running out of CVs to give out).

Research the companies prior to attending the fair, take time out to view the list of participating organizations and begin. Study the companies that interest you in advance. Visit their websites and check current job openings. Prepare a brief 20-30 second summary of your skills, experiences and qualifications, and be able to sell yourself with your words.
