This mushroom and garlic sauce is so easy to make and fast too, so you don’t have to spend hours stirring away in the kitchen. The sauce, when paired up with spaghetti, is definitely a hit but it’s also tasty when paired with chicken, pizza or just about anything that requires a white sauce. You may add chicken, shrimp or sausage to it for additional protein or turn it up by including any veggies you have on hand. Preparation time: 15 minutes Cooking time: 20 minutes Total time: 35 minutes Ingredients
  • 1 pack of spaghetti pasta
  • 5 tbsp. butter
  • 10 cloves garlic, minced
  • 6 cups mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • 1/8 tsp of salt
  • Pepper
  • 1 tbsp. olive oil
  • 3 tbsp. fresh parsley, chopped
  • Parmesan cheese, grated or cheddar cheese
Directions
  • Heat 1 tbsp. of olive oil and 1 tbsp. of butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add garlic, add mushrooms, basil, salt and pepper. Cook till mushrooms are tender
  • Cook the spaghetti according to package instructions, rinse in cold water and drain
  • Add pasta to the mushrooms along with the remaining butter. Taste for salt and gently reheat until butter melts and paste is very warm. Add grated Parmesan cheese, continue to reheat pasta, stirring until cheese melts
  • Serve and enjoy
