Gone are the days when we had no choice but to sit through and endure unsatisfying service from mobile phone networks, thank God! The option of porting to another network from your current network (if you’re not satisfied with the service) while still retaining your number sure is good news. Today I am sharing with you basic steps of porting from any network to the Glo network. The first thing you need to know is that this service is “FREE”. Now that we have that out of the way, let’s get right into the juicy part. 1. Go to any Glo Mobile officeGlo zone or Glo Sim Registration area closest to you. 2. Let the service person know that you are there to port. 3. A port in MNP form will be issued to use, fill and sign accurately and submit back to the customer service person. 4. Upon signing the form, send the word “Port” to the short code 3232 5. You will receive the message confirmation which says “Thank you for your SMS. Your request is being processed” 6. After completing this step, the customer service person will hand over to you a new Glo SIM Card. Please remember to register the new SIM before leaving the place. 7. Your work at the Glo office is now over. All you need to do now is keep using your old SIM until you receive the second SMS. Upon receiving this SMS, your old SIM will stop working. As soon as this happens, remove the old SIM and insert the new Glo SIM given to you. Begin to enjoy your new Glo SIM with your old number. Cool, isn’t it?   NOTE:
  • What you will need before going to the service centre: Valid means of identification, photocopy of your ID and the mobile number you intend to port to Glo network.
  • Please be informed that performing this service will cause you to lose all contacts, SMS, and MMS stored in the old SIM card as well as any unused airtime and bonuses on the SIM. You are advised to back up all important contacts, SMS and MMS stored on your old SIM and use all airtime before porting the line.
