In addition to all these, the lockdown has influenced the sack of many employees by their employers. This has made people more desperate to keep their jobs to escape poverty but it has also led to the unintended outcome which is “broken homes”. This is not to say that working to provide a means of survival is bad in and of itself, what this means, rather, is that the current work craze of the internet has caused family life to suffer. Read on to discover how to efficiently balance work life with family life.
  1. Find Your Priority

Finding your priority can be especially difficult given the economy that we find ourselves in as a nation. Knowing that food must be brought to the table for the ones you love or else it would seem as though you do not love them. It is important therefore that you find your priority. If it is family, then let it be a priority. If it is your job or career, let the people in your life know from the onset that they are not as important as the career you are trying to build. This establishes understanding.
  1. Take Of Excesses

When the priority has been identified, the next thing that is absolutely important is to take away all excesses. You will find that there are things in your life that are taking up space and time and giving no value in return. They might be burdening work, unnecessary volunteer service or just bad relationships that drain you. Once you take those off, you will be able to breathe more and devote precious time to the aspects of your life that needs it.

  1. Plan Your Time

Time, like money, is easy to fly and hard to come by and as such you must budget your time as much as you budget your money. Give your time to things that build you and make you more valuable. Do not spend more time than the one allotted for an event. Time is priceless and should be treated as such.
  1. Maximise Your Time

It is not enough that the bottlenecks have been removed, you now have time for your personal life and you then sit like a potato. You must be intentional about maximising the time spent in each part of your life. When you are at the office, give your best, be excellent. When it comes to your personal life, make the quantity of time actually be quality time. Your family have endured your absence, make sure they feel your presence.
  1. Rinse And Repeat

The key to getting it right in achieving balance in your work and personal life is continuity. You have to continually check those things that take your time and balance with those things that bring fulfilment to you. Time is a precious gift that has been given free and in equal measure to all and sundry. The difference, however, in the great and small, the satisfied and unfulfilled is how they manage their time and in what they give pre-eminence to. Think deeply today.
