When you hear Abeokuta, the first thing you’d probably think of is Olumo Rock (the city practically sprouted of rocky formations on the banks of the Ogun River). If you are better informed, you’d probably know it is the Egba (Yoruba sub-group) heartland. If you know nothing at all, you at least know it is the capital of Ogun State in southwestern Nigeria. One of the city’s more exotic hotels, the services here are quite pricey but if money is not your problem then continue reading. Standard Single Rooms, Standard Double rooms, Diplomatic Suites and Presidential Suites. Each room has its own balconies, walk-in shower and cable TV to mention a few things. It goes withut saying that the rooms are different priced for the “cheapest” to the more grandiose. They serve local, continental and even Chinese delicacies and room service is available. This facility carries a three-star which is pretty high for a hotel in its location (no pun intended). They maintain a Chinese restaurant, concierge services as well as free internet. They also offer in-house dining, gym facilities, ample parking space, a cinema hall and a conference centre to name a few. To its credit, the MKO Abiola Stadium and Abeokuta Sports club are within shouting distances from the hotel too. Accommodations begin at N23,000.

Daktad Suites is a two-star facility and have decent services to offer customers. It is close to June 12 market and there is a Tantalisers fast food restaurant not far off from the hotel. The hotel proper and ample car parking space with  restaurant with an array of excellent tasting dishes plus complimentary breakfast service, a bar/lounge with an assortment of diverse beverages, a swimming pool and gym facilities.
