Chef Grace Nwaokobia set out to hit this remarkable height on Friday, June 14, 2024, and by the time she was done, Rickey’s time was surpassed as she stopped at 87 hours, 40 minutes. The globally renowned chef had humble beginnings and started her food business from scratch in 2017.
“I started my food business in 2017 that is grace’s homemade kitchen and basically what i did was deliver food to people’s home and everything went up from there,”
she narrated.
“As a home cook, I cook from my home kitchen so the record simply resonated with them.”
It is not enough to do a Guinness World Record, and Chef Grace is aware of this and has decided to help home kitchen chefs with cooking utensils.

“What I intend to do with this attempt is to give gifts to home cooks, so something that can help their business, yam pounder, knife sets, anything that can just help their business basically,”
she said. During the attempt, Chef Grace cooked up to twenty recipes, such as pasta, coconut rice, Afang soup, and more. The presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, visited the chef during her attempt and hailed her exploits.
“In consonance with my commitment to encouraging our young people towards entrepreneurship and expertise, I showed up this morning to cheer on Chef Grace Nwaokobia as she made us proud by breaking the Guinness World Record for the longest home kitchen cooking marathon by an individual,”
Obi said.
