The Golden Eaglets had to settle for a 1-1 draw against Guinea in their second game at the on-going African U-17 Championship, played at the Stade Général Seyni Kountché (SGSK) in Niamey on Wednesday afternoon. Captain Kelechi Nwakali scored his second goal of the tournament to stop their Guinean counterparts from taking the maximum points. Nwakali grabbed the equaliser in the second half from 11 yards after Sam Diallo’s opener in the 11th minute through a penalty kick. Nigeria still sit at the summit of Group A on 4 points with a better goal difference, ahead of Guinea. Amuneke’s boys will tackle Zambia in the last Group A fixture on Saturday at the Municipal Stadium in Niamey.
