Hi, If you’re like me, you’re pretty excited and can’t wait for the New Year to begin so you can take some bold steps and get the year started right! So you’re fired up, motivated, pressing your foot on the gas, revving and just waiting for the umpire to wave the flag so you can take off with speed and overtake those who’ve gone before you! Abi no be so? But no matter how revved up you are, if you don’t release the HANDBRAKE of LIMITING BELIEFS, and ENGAGE THE RIGHT GEAR, you ain’t going nowhere! Limiting Beliefs are the subconscious programs in your mind that paralyze you from taking action and raise issues of self doubt. “I mean, you’ve NEVER made a million bucks in one year! Do you honestly believe you could make it? Be real now! Oya, don’t just shoot yourself in the foot, try to earn N250k, that’s SAFE” “You mean you wanna work out EVERYDAY? Do you know what that means? No sodas, no snacks, waking up at 3am to work out and eating a lot of boring veggies. YUCK! Maybe you should work out ONCE A WEEK…besides, you know you have a BUSY SCHEDULE” Your subconscious will program you to PLAY SAFE and associate DANGER with any goal that crosses your ‘SAFETY THRESHOLD’. Now, I’m not suggesting that you be reckless and throw caution to the winds, heck no! All I’m saying is ASK YOURSELF, ‘what are the limiting beliefs that say I can’t’ and release the brakes of limitation! Else, your gonna run outta gas, revving and wondering why you’re staying stationary (ALL MOTION and NO MOVEMENT). Take the brakes off!   Your Life Strategist   SteveHARRIS   Steve Harris is a motivational speaker and Chief Executive Officer of EdgeEcution (pronounced Edge – E- Cution), a Management Consulting firm that assists its clients in gaining the competitive edge by enhancing the performance of its people through consulting and training interventions.
