The Afro-beat king Femi Kuti ranks as a living legend after he broke the world record by playing the longest single note on the saxophone which lasted for 46 minutes and 38 seconds. This record surpassed the previous record set by Kenny G in 1997 when he played a note that lasted for 45 minutes 37 seconds.

This new record-breaking note was recorded on Sunday, May 7, 2017, at the New Afrikan Shrine situated in Agidingbi, Ikeja, Lagos. This development stirs excitement in the heart of Nigerians as this has attracted fame to Nigeria’s entertainment industry.
