NextDaySite, an upscale website design and solutions company, in partnership with ConnectNigeria.com, has announced a special promotion of 50 percent discount on website design to be available during the 2013 e-business fair. The fair, which will be hosted by ConnectNigeria.com at the prestigious Eko Hotel and Suites on October 26 is aimed at promoting the use of electronic technologies by Small and Medium-sized businesses in Nigeria. The idea behind the 50 percent discount on all website design subscribed for at the fair is to enable enterprise owners to leverage their businesses through electronic technologies. “Though having a website is just one aspect of integrating electronic backbone into a business; nevertheless, it is the foundation. Having a website is synonymous to having a store; the only difference is that it is virtual. However, your customers, suppliers, and partners can locate you through your website, order for goods, communicate their ideas and suggestions, and also consummate a sale by paying for goods through your website, which automatically gets credited to your company’s bank account. As a Nigerian company that believes in the Nigerian dream of being a major player in the global economy, small and medium sized businesses need to be encouraged to compete evenly with their counterparts in developed countries,” a statement from the company explained. Due to the nature of the global network of computers via the internet, small businesses in developed countries often exploit undeveloped markets in Nigeria and other African countries by providing certain goods and services. This is possible due to the fact that there is little or no alternative here in Nigeria. “There is no reason why you should order for your designer shirts from an online store in UK or the United States if you can order same from a designer here in Nigeria at a cheaper price without compromise on quality. The challenge is that over 99 percent of SMEs in Nigeria do not have a web presence that can enable them benefit from the Nigerian market as much as they should. This is in spite of the fact that they can produce finer quality of products and services than their foreign counterparts,” the statement read. The discounted offer by NexDaySite will be available for a limited period during the e-business fair, which is expected to attract several stakeholders in the Nigerian e-business industry.
