US President-elect Donald Trump has appointed Nigerian-born lawyer and investment banker Adebayo Ogunlesi to his Strategic and Policy Forum. This follows the unveiling of the list of forum members this month by Mr. Trump’s Transition Team.

The Strategic and Policy Forum is made up of some of America’s foremost business executives and will be advising Mr. Trump on issues related to industry and business. Members of the team include such notable figures as General Motors CEO, Mary Barra; Jamie Dimon, Chairman and CEO of JP Morgan Chase; Bob Iger, Chairman and CEO, The Walt Disney Company; Elon Musk, CEO and Chairman of SpaceX and Tesla; and Larry Fink, Chairman and CEO, BlackRock. Stephen A. Schwarzman, CEO of investment firm Blackstone will chair the forum.

Adebayo Ogunlesi is Chairman and Managing Director at Global Infrastructure Management LLC, a private equity firm and Fortune 500 company. He is also a member of the United States’ District of Columbia Bar Association.

A press release from Blackstone says the sixteen-member forum will meet regularly with the US president “to share their specific experience and knowledge” in order to help him in his efforts to “bring back jobs and make America great again”.
