Beans pottage is one Nigerian staple that costs little and goes with a lot of carbohydrate. Beans generally has a natural taste, but you can choose to go creative by adding fish, eggplant, yam, plantain or potato to your beans pottage. Here’s how to cook Ewa Riro.  Ingredients 2 cups beans 2 pcs tatase 1 pc onions 1 cup palm oil 1 tbsp ground crayfish 1 tbsp ground pepper 3 pcs seasoning cubes 1 pinch salt 5 pcs tomato  Method Wash the beans and put in a pot, add the onions (chopped) to the pot and boil for about 45 minutes, or until soft. Blend the tomatoes and pepper, pour into the pot of beans and stir in. Add the seasoning cubes, dry pepper, crayfish and salt to taste. Allow to simmer for about 3 minutes. Add about ¼ cup palm oil or as desired, stir and allow to simmer for another 5 minutes. Serve with fried plantain, bread, boiled yam or garri (cassava flakes). Click here to get all the ingredients
