In accordance with the Seventh Millennium Development Goal, the initiative seeks to ensure environmental sustainability in Nigeria through local waste management, recycling and land sanitation. Its activities include the cleanup of dirty gutters, drainages and land masses along with the sensitization of individuals on the importance of a clean environment. • I am a participant in the Civic Ecology free online course (MOOC) and for my service project, I would like to create an online story about the clean up Ketu project. If possible, I would like to talk with you on the phone about the practice. Please let me know if you would be willing to answer questions about your practice in a 15-minute phone interview. I hope that the story I create will serve not only as a means for me to learn more about your work, but also as a way to share your work more broadly.

For an example of a story similar to one I hope to create about practice, see or https://storify.com/CivicEcology/civic-ecology-practices-in-soweto-south-africa. For more about the Civic Ecology online course, see . For more information about civic ecology, see .

I will appreciate your prompt response to this mail. I look forward to hearing from you and to contributing to your community clean up efforts. Please don’t hesitate to let me know if you have any concerns or questions.

    Sincerely,
    Elizabeth Idoko
