According to an official tweet by Sim Shagaya, Konga has already received over N110,000,000 worth of orders within the first 4 hours of its highly anticipated Yakata sales this Black Friday season. The CEO cites traffic so far as double the size received during last year’s Black Friday event. Black Friday is the day following Thanksgiving Day in the United States (the fourth Thursday of November). Since the early 2000s, it has been regarded as the beginning of the Christmas shopping season in the US, and is quickly being adopted by Africans. Looks like Nigerians are taking full advantage of this year’s Black Friday’s sales.
