Indomie is one of the most popular noodles in Nigeria at the time of writing this article. It is clearly a favourite of kids and even adults and of course there are a thousand ways to prepare and enjoy the noodles.
A great upside to this noodles is that it is super fast to prepare but sadly, it is not exactly a healthy food choice and should not be consumed frequently. It should also be cooked in such a way that it is balanced; the noodles contain high sodium and carbohydrate and is low in fibre, vitamins and minerals, so an addition of vegetables and a good source of protein – especially for growing kids – is necessary.
No scientific research has proved the flavouring or seasonings of the noodles to be cancerous or, as widely rumoured, responsible for making children dull. Moderation, however, should be applied in the consumption of the noodles.
