Have you been in a situation where you have got a dream that must be achieved and so you put energy and time into this dream to make it a reality?
However as time passes, your energy keeps waning, your motivation is fluctuating – you are losing focus and then you wonder what made you have the dream in the first place.
If you’ve experienced such a situation, then maybe it is time to reconsider.
Â
Is Your Dream All Wrong?
A lot of self help advice has been focused on having dreams and making them a reality but no one talks about having wrong dreams. Why? If you really want to achieve your dreams bad enough, you will go all out and make it possible.
The assumption is that as long as you have a dream, you can achieve your dream but then if this is so true, why then do you hate what you are doing? Why is your passion waning day by day and hour by hour? Why are you suffering trying to be the best at it?
Are You Following Someone’s Dream?
Is it possible that you are writing someone else’s story? Â That you are following someone’s dream?
You have allowed the blueprint of your life to be designed by your family, colleagues, friends and loved ones? You are playing out a script written by others?
Now you might think this isn’t a bad thing, but what if you discovered that they were inaccurate? You know deep down that this is not you. So why do you waste your time writing the life story of another?
Â
Do Your Know Your Dream Well Enough?
Sometimes you think you know your dream well enough, after all, you created the dream; but have you ever considered the fact that you have restricted your dreams with limited knowledge?
You might have desired to have a good marriage, a profitable business and financial freedom. You achieved these goals, yet you still wonder why you are sad.
Maybe you are restricting your dream to what you think it should be. It might be something different from what you ever imagined.
Are You Prepared to Achieve Your Dream?
Having a dream isn’t enough, are you prepared to achieve your dreams?
Dreams are not just the things we achieve. They include the path we go through in order to achieve them. In a world that is full of instant gratification, people are not ready to take the time and effort in achieving their dreams. Are you in love with the end result but hate the process?
Sometimes your dream might not be embraced and accepted by the world.
The world might think your dream is not ready. Does it mean that you are chasing the wrong dream?
Why You Are Chasing The Wrong Dream
The key to dreams is your mindset but you need to step back to evaluate what kind of lifeÂ
you truly want, andÂ
why you want it. You need to explore what is really best for you.
Ask yourself no matter the lifestyle that you chose – Would I really enjoy this lifestyle day in, day out? Would I be happier in the long run if I follow this dream? You need to be prepared to work it out; you need to be ready to make sacrifices.
The sooner you find what you truly want, the closer you will get to achieving your true dreams and the less time you will spend chasing the wrong dream.
