The ShEquity Business Accelerator (SHEBA) is accepting applications from female entrepreneurs across Africa. The program is aimed at getting these entrepreneurs and their businesses ready for investment by ShEquity and other investors. It is specifically designed to reduce the risk inherent in such businesses by enhancing the leadership and soft skills of their owners so that they are able to engage partners, customers, and other interests that are vital to business growth.

The SHEBA program will enable participants to draw up and execute effective marketing strategies, develop new business models, and leverage various tools to build innovative solutions and get ahead of their competition.

Benefits

Female owned and run businesses that are selected to take part in this program could benefit from it in the following ways:


Sign up for the Connect Nigeria daily newsletter
  • Qualifying businesses from the accelerator will be recommended to the ShEquity team for investment consideration
  • Successful businesses could receive between $50,000 and $250,000 in investment from ShEquity
  • SHEBA intends to organize demo days in which other investors will have the chance to engage businesses that take part in the accelerator

Female entrepreneurs involved in the following areas are invited to apply for the SHEBA program:

  • Agribusiness (production, processing, wholesale, retail, agritech)
  • Healthcare

Register to attend the Connect Nigeria Business Mixer
  • Tech-enabled solutions (Clean-Tech, FinTech, etc)
  • Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG)
  • Mobility
  • Renewable energy

Applications remain open until May 6, 2022.
