myPaddi is a mobile platform for youths to connect with each other, interact anonymously, share ideas, and discuss issues regarding sex, relationship, and health without the stigma usually associated with such topics. 

myPaddi which means “my friend” provides young people with a safe community. The app was founded by Charles Immanuel Akhimien and Emmanuel Owobu and released on the Google Play store in 2017. Today it has garnered over 10k downloads on the platform.

Meet The App

myPaddi gives users the opportunity to interact anonymously with other users and share thoughts or ideas pertaining to life, sex, and relationships. 

Any post shared on myPaddi goes public and people engage with it by offering advice and raising conversation. Though these posts can be seen by everyone, users are guaranteed of their safety because they operate anonymously. 

The app provides access to sexual health tips ranging from sexually transmitted diseases to sexual abuse and contraceptive use. It also enables users chat with doctors on the platform for a low subscription fee of N300.

myPaddi has a beautiful user interface and colourful design which is easy to navigate through.

In recent times, mental health issues have become more prevalent among youths. These issues stem from anxiety to depression and other disorders that are still widely misunderstood in society. With the levels of stigma often associated with such issues, it helps to have a community of like-minded individuals on whom one can rely. myPaddi has succeeded in filling a vacuum among young individuals which has long been neglected in society.
