Jumia Food is a food delivery service that provides food to Africans on the basis of efficiency, reach and timeliness. Founded in 2013 originally as Hello Food, the service gives you access to various restaurants in your city and guarantees you on-time delivery.

Meet The App

The first thing you notice once is the app’s simple interface. The homepage has important icons like “Select your city, “Select your area” and “See vendors” displayed on it. Clicking on the menu bar at the top-left part of the screen leads you to options to select like your location, deals you’ve made, your account, orders, and address book (which is the address you will want your food to be delivered to). After a quick registration, you can place your order and it will be delivered to your specified location. A clock on the checkout page gives you an estimated time on when your food will arrive. Once the time elapses, a pop-up appears inquiring if the meal has been delivered. If the order was not received during the allocated time, then you can click on the “NO” option. Jumia Food also has a specialized tracking software called Urban Ninja that enables the customer service team track food orders form the moment they are being placed to the moment they arrive at the customer’s location. In order to ensure quality service, Jumia Food only partners with quality and timely restaurants that can meet the demands of their users.

Lots of Options To Choose From

Jumia Food allows users access to a variety of restaurants falling into different categories including Chinese, Italian, Thai, Continental, Nigerian dishes and many more. You can choose any restaurant you want regardless of how far it is from your office or home. In order to reach out to more customers, Jumia Food now delivers food across 11 countries: Kenya, Morocco, Nigeria, Ghana, Ivory Coast, Egypt, Algeria, Uganda, Tanzania, Senegal, and Rwanda.
