For Hajiya Aishat Buhari, giving is a key to happiness. Many give out when they have in abundance while others give out when they have nothing to give. While many assume giving to be a code of religion, it is wrong to perceive giving as a mandatory requirement. Hence, we applaud those who have and are willing to give out like Hajiya Aishat Buhari.
The wife of the President has given scholarship awards to 60 orphans in a primary school in Daura. This was at a launch of a scholarship scheme on Monday. Â The scheme aims to promote education and increase access to the quest for education especially for the Girl child in the area. It is laudable because it is true that developing a Girl-child implies the development of a nation.
She is consistent in discharging her duties as she pledges that the grants would cover the duration of their educational career. She also distributed items to the less privileged people in Daura, such as 60 bags of rice, 60 cartons of sachet tomato puree and 60 cartons of customized garri.
It should be noted that Daura is her husband, the President Mohammed Buhari’s, hometown. We only hope that such good fortune would spread across the states of the federation.
