Interim coach of the Nigerian national team Augustine Eguavoen has released a list of 28 players set to represent Nigeria at the 2022 Africa Cup of Nations slated to hold in Cameroon from January 9th, 2022 to February 6th, 2022. The list which was released by the communications department of the Nigeria Football Federation on Christmas Day, December 25th, 2021, saw the likes of Huesca of Spain midfielder Kelechi Nwakali, America of Spain striker Sadiq Umar, Enyimba FC of Aba’s John Noble, Olisa Ndah of Orlando Pirates, and few others set to make their AFCON debut in Cameroon. Regulars like captain Ahmed Musa, Troost-Ekong, Leon Balogun, Wilfred Ndidi, and Victor Osimhen, despite his injury scare, are set to fight for the country’s fourth African crown when hostilities commence in January.
