Is your system creeping like a snail? It doesn’t matter how high tech your computer is, they all eventually slow down. Perhaps you encounter problem getting it to start on time or opening several programs, here are some tricks to help boost your computer’s performance:

Try to install only what is necessary

If there are programs installed in your computer that you are sure you do not need, perhaps have been added by the manufacturer, it is best you uninstall soft wares that may have been pre-installed.  There may be many applications that should be uninstalled, go to “Uninstall Programs in Control Panel, to erase it away.

Update your computer often

While this sounds like too much work, it is best you remember to update your software and applications regularly. You can also automate the updating process so that you do not have to remind yourself each time an application needs to be updated.

Watch out for programs running in the background

When you open and start up your Windows, several programs are not visibly displayed on your computer taskbar and may be a hindrance to your system speed.  Visit your Task Manager to find out which one of the background programs is affecting your speed and try to improve it by ending the process, or letting them be

Ensure security measures

Malwares, that is malicious spyware and viruses or even adware may have been installed to your computer with an intent of accessing your personal information. This is essential as malware affects the performance of your computer. Even after being selective of what you install, it is best you install an antivirus to fight it.

Restore to factory settings

Many times, if all of these attempts refuse to work, it is best you resort to the factory settings. Make sure to back up your files before restoring to its default settings.
