The Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry held a press conference today, 28th September, 2015, to notify the public of its preparations towards the 29th edition of the Lagos International Trade Fair which is set to hold at three different venues: Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS), Onikan, the Muson Center, Onikan and Freedom Park, Broad Street, Lagos . The aim of hosting the fair at three venues is to accommodate the different sectors of the economy and promote the potentials of the Nigeria economy beyond oil. Chief Dr. Olawale Cole, Chairman of Trade Promotion Board, LCCI said that the fair will open officially with an opening ceremony on Friday, 6th November, 2015 at the Tafawa Balewa Square, Onikan, Lagos. The President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, President Muhammadu Buhari, Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode and and other important dignitaries such as members of the diplomatic corps, captains of industry and other top government officials are expected to be there. He also said that the 2015 fair will hold simultaneously at the venues.  The business-to-customer general fair will hold at the Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS), Onikan on the 6th to 15th of November, 2015. The business-to-business and corporate exhibition will hold at the Muson Center, Onikan from the 9th to 13th of November while the creative industry fair will hold in collaboration with the CORA Arts and Cultural Foundation, the organizers of LABAF at Freedom Park, Broad Street, Lagos on the 6th to 15th November, 2015 This year’s Lagos International Fair is tagged “Enhancing Value Addition in the Non Oil Economy” The Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry will hold an investment conference during the 2015 Lagos International Trade Fair where developmental initiatives  and entrepreneurship development programmes with special focus on the non-oil sector will be explored. In addition to these, Guaranty Trust Bank Plc. will for the next four years partner with The Lagos International Trade Fair through the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Development Fora, which starting this year will hold for five days at all the three venues from 9th to the 13th of November, 2015. The Lagos International Trade Fair which remains the investor’s delight and is termed as the biggest and the best fair  in West and Central Africa has already attracted institutional partnerships from big corporate firms in Nigeria and local and international companies with confirmed bookings from different countries of the world such as China, Egypt, Indonesia, Ghana.
