Nollywood actress, Kate Henshaw has made her intention to run for Federal House of Representatives representing Calabar Municipal/Odukpani Federal Constituency, Cross Rivers State known.
Henshaw, who will be running under Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, on her page on election
campaign website, said her passion to “show that there is a better, more humane way to do things when you are in a position of leadership” is why she’s running for the office.
“I believe in putting the people first and being accountable to them as well as being accessible. I am also very keen to promote and champion the provision of clean water, good roads and sanitation in my constituency” she further said.
Ms. Henshaw also hopes to champion affordable education and quality healthcare especially for expecting and young mothers.
Kate Henshaw will join the likes of Hon. Rotimi Makinde, Richard Mofe Damijo, Okey Bakassi, Onyeka Onwenu and others who have switched from the entertainment world to Nigerian politics.
