WhatsApp, presently the most used mobile messenger in the world with over a billion active users has just recently released some cool features for their mobile messaging platform. The update brings features that will bring the photos and videos you share with your contacts alive, much like what you have on Snapchat and Instagram.
In the photo and video sharing screen, you will see a new set of editing tools that you can use to either write text on your photos or videos or draw on them. You can also add emojis to your photos and videos. In effect, pictures you share on WhatsApp can now have much more detail than before.
The update also brings front-facing flash support to make your selfies better. Sliding your finger up or down will zoom in or out when you are recording videos, and double tapping the screen switches between your front and rear camera.
The update is available for Android users, but iOS users will have to wait a while.
