  The Nigerian duo of Kelechi Iheanacho and Wilfred Ndidi were the talk of the weekend after winning the English FA Cup with Leicester City on Saturday, May 15, 2021.

A 63rd-minute strike from Tielemans was all Leicester needed to claim a 1-0 victory over Chelsea at the Wembley Stadium. Iheanacho and Ndidi were both in action and were spotted waving the Nigerian flag after the win. Enyimba will now have to score 3 un-replied goals in the second leg to qualify for the semi-final of the tournament. In #theBAL, Basketball Africa League, Rivers Hoopers lost their first game to hosts, Patriots of Rwanda 83-60, in the opening game. Akwa United retained top stop in the Nigeria Professional Football League after recording a vital 2-0 win over Dakkada in Uyo. A brace from Charles Athimene was all Akwa United needed to claim victory and remain top of the league table in quest for domestic triumph. Super Eagles captain, Ahmed Musa, made his debut for Kano Pillars in the NPFL and assisted Rabiu Ali’s goal which went on to become the difference between Kano Pillars and Adamawa United. The biggest game of the weekend saw Enugu Rangers fall 1-0 at home to Rivers United. Godwin Aguda scored the goal against his former side that separated both sides in the eight-minute of the game.
