  Kelechi Iheanacho has made it a consistent manner to be the talk of weekends. The Leicester City of England star has been in blistering form these past few weeks. In the much anticipated English FA Cup quarterfinal clash against Manchester United, the self-acclaimed ”senior man” bagged a brace and assisted a goal in Leicester’s 3-1 win over United on Sunday, March 21, 2021, and earned the award for the man of the match like he did last weekend.

Iheanacho’s compatriot, Wilfred Ndidi, was equally impressive in the middle of the park for the Foxes. Iheanacho’s brace means he has scored seven goals in his last four games. In basketball, D’Tigress of Nigeria star, Evelyn Akhator, was instrumental for her French club, Flammes Carolo, as they progressed into the Final 4 of the European Cup for the first time in their history. Akhator scored a total of 14 points, 6 rebounds, and 2 blocks in her team’s 85-56 points win over Fribourg on Friday, March 21, 2021. The Nigeria Professional Football League had some interesting clashes over the weekend. Kwara United returned to the top of the league table after an impressive 5-0  win against bottom-placed Adamawa United at the Ilorin Township Stadium on Sunday, March 21. A Stephen Jude hattrick and a brace from Michael Ohanu was all the Ilorin-based side needed to go top of the league.

A 2-1 away win against Wikki Tourists of Bauchi pushed Kano Pillars to the second spot on the league chart. A pass from Ebuka David met Nyima Nwagua well as he put pillars ahead in the 13th minute of the encounter. David who provided the assist for the first goal would get his own goal in the 27th minute after a pass from Mustapha Jibin as Pillars led 2-0 going into the break. A 66th-minute strike from Stephen Chukwude would only reduce the deficit but was not good enough for the Bauchi-based side to earn a point from the encounter.
