We all must have felt the frustration that comes when our mobile data gets exhausted and we do not have enough money or airtime to purchase another data bundle. It is for situations like this that GLOBACOM launched the Glo Borrow Me Data service, a new and intuitive way of making sure that Glo subscribers always have mobile data at their disposal. The product was launched at a press conference that held in Lagos on the 1st of November, 2016.
The new service offers eligible subscribers the option of borrowing data from Glo when their mobile data gets exhausted and they do not have enough airtime to purchase another data bundle. Customers can borrow data bundles from 30MB to 3.2GB for a daily, weekly or monthly duration. The loan will be deducted from the user’s account after 3 days and it attracts a 15% interest rate.
To use the service, your SIM must be registered, and you must have been an active subscriber on the Glo network for at least 3 months.
To apply for the service, dial *321# on your mobile device and you’ll be prompted to create a pin and confirm it.
