Chelsea midfielder and  Super Eagle’s top gun, Victor Moses was crowned the NFF player of the year at the 2018 Aiteo/Nigeria Football Federation awards held in Lagos on Monday evening. After being edged out of the CAF Player of the Year award, the 27-year-old has once again shown his bright light as he was crowned Nigeria’s best, beating Leicester City’s Wilfred Ndidi and Lobi Stars’ Anthony Okpotu to claim the award. The 2016/2017 football season is one of the best seasons Victor Moses had played, as it saw him morph into the amazing player, fans hoped he’ll become. Before this time, the player’s career was pegged with injuries and time offs, which saw his numbers drop to a significant low. That said, under Antony Conte’s supervision and the debut of his league winning tactic, the 2016/2017 football season saw Moses in action as Chelsea moved up their league table to win the English Premier League title. Conte’s league winning tactic drastically changed Moses’s performance as well as his position.  The 2016/2017 Premier league manager of the season played Moses as a wing-back in his 3-4-3 formation, this position helped boost Moses’s strengths and hid his weaknesses. Personally, I think that is Moses’ dream position as he was at an all-time best performance level until the end of the season. He was also one of the major players in the Nigeria football team, scoring thrice for Nigeria, as we became the first African nation to book a ticket to the Russia 2018 World Cup. Congratulations, Victor Moses.
