  Oncopadi Technologies says it’s accepting applications for its Digital Health and Cancer Research Fellowship. The program is open to healthcare researchers based in Lagos and is designed to help them develop and improve their digital health expertise.

Oncopadi Technologies, which functions as a ‘digital cancer clinic’, works to connect African cancer patients to oncologists, hospitals, and coping resources. Its health fellowship is in line with its mission to deepen the capacity to respond to the needs of cancer patients in Africa. The fellowship will educate and train people who want to address issues around the development and commercialization of digital technologies for healthcare purposes. It will involve workshops that equip participants to lead digital transformation in their healthcare institutions.

Healthcare innovators who are selected for the fellowship will benefit in the following ways:
  • Receive $4,000 in stipends per annum
  • Enable them to accelerate a digital revolution in oncology
  • Allow them to work with clinicians, technologists, scientists, entrepreneurs, and patients
  • Gives them time to devote to driving the research and development activities around cancer care

Eligibility

Applicants should meet these criteria to be considered for the fellowship:
  • A Master’s Degree in Public Health or other relevant medical fields
  • May either be enrolled in or have completed a PhD program when the fellowship commences
  • They should be based in Lagos at the time of the fellowship and must be willing to commit between six and twelve months to the research fellowship program

Applicants should have these documents: a duly-filled application form, a current CV, copies of undergraduate and post-graduate certificates, a statement of purpose, and a letter of reference from a source that knows the applicant’s professional or academic work.
