UniAbuja Karate 2018
About 400 athletes from 40 Nigerian Universities will make camp at the University of Abuja from the
27th till 29th July 2018 for the
first ever Nigerian University Karate Championship tagged
“UniAbuja Karate 2018.”
This was made known to the public by the Vice Chancellor of the University, Professor Michael Adikwu represented by the deputy vice chancellor Professor Edmund Nwana during a press conference with journalists held in Abuja last weekend.
Prof. Nwana related the thoughts of the V.C to the journalists, stating that the university makes head of the role of sport in nation building, and even more in refining our youths.
He went on to assure the general public and participants that plans have already been put in motion to prepare the school for a snag-free
UniAbuja Karate 2018.
Also speaking at the press conference, spokesperson for the Nigerian Universities Karate Associations, Ta Mustapha, expressed his gratitude to the University management for taking up the responsibility to host the maiden edition of the event, while also assuring the populace of a fun-filled thrilling event.
Mustapha also added that
UniAbuja Karate 2018 is endorsed by the National Universities Games Association (NUGA), the Nigerian Karate Federation (NKF) and the Government of Japan through her embassy in ABUJA.
