  The UK-Nigeria Tech Hub, an initiative of the UK government’s Department for Digital, Culture, Media, and Sports (DCMS), is organizing the Social Innovation Driven Entrepreneurship (SIDE) program. This program is aimed at identifying promising startups that are present and active in selected states of Nigeria and are leveraging digital technology to tackle pressing social challenges.

Social Innovation Driven Entrepreneurship (SIDE) is specifically looking out for ventures that are proposing and working on practical solutions, showing the potential for growing impact, offering scalable initiatives, and taking ingenious paths to solving problems in their states.

Eligibility

SIDE is open to startups that meet these requirements:
  • Should be in ideation, Minimum Viable Product (MVP), or early stage of development
  • Tackling problems in Education, Employment, Environment, Climate Change, Food, and Health
  • Must be operating within Adamawa, Edo, Enugu, Kaduna, Kwara, and Osun States
