From our previous discussions on artificial intelligence (AI), we have seen the different applications of AI in our day to day activities as well as places we encounter them. Continuing on AI, we will be looking at 5 ways in which AI can be applied in social media marketing.
The increase in the use of AI should not be seen as a replacement for humans by machines but rather the specialization of machines in certain repetitive procedures and processes, freeing humans up to take up more creative tasks. AI will be utilized in the jobs that humans engage in so that social media marketers can focus on the customers and offer personalized services based on analysis produced using AI. With this advantage, social media marketers or managers can utilize the benefits of AI to build a successful business.
Here are 5 applications of AI in social media marketing
Social media marketers will be familiar with the pay-per-click advertising which basically the marketer is paying for a user clicking on an advert. It is now possible for marketers to use Facebook or AdWords to utilize pay-per-click advertising. With AI, social media marketers can find more and better advertising platforms to analyze, manage and optimize paid ad campaigns.
With the advent of AI, social media marketers can identify images that are relevant to their brand and product in the multitude of information available on the internet. By using images with people on it, marketers can connect better with the target audience to sell their brand or product.
The addiction to social media is mainly due to the engaging contents that keep the audience attention on the social media channel. Creating engaging and relevant content is not an easy job. With AI, content creators or curators can collect data on the target audience, their choices, what they read, who they follow, and questions they asked relating to a topic or product. With this information, social media marketers can then create contents that are relevant to their audience.
24/7 Online Presence:
With AI, it is easy to manage social media pages throughout the day with a 24/7 online presence. AI chatbots can be used to respond to the customer’s query and messages keeping the brand’s online presence throughout the day. An example of this is Kudi.ai which uses a chatbot on the Facebook messaging platform to answer customer’s query and respond to messages like the purchase of airtime, payment of bills etc.
Improved Audience Targeting:
Different brands run ads to target customers and influence them to purchase products and services. Since the target audience data are stored online, the marketers can use AI to analyze the data and get the target customer’s intuition like their social media usage, buying personality and user behaviour. This will ensure that the ads are targeted at users that have the buying personality and therefore, get better sales conversion.
