  ShEquity Partners, an investment firm which supports businesses founded and led by women in Sub-Saharan Africa, is inviting female-run businesses to apply for its business accelerator program. If you’re a woman and you have founded and currently manage a business, here’s an opportunity you may consider taking advantage of.

This edition of the ShEquity Business Accelerator (SHEBA) is its fourth and will feature enterprises from across English-speaking ECOWAS member countries. Within its 17-month span, participating businesses will receive technical aid, be prepared for significant growth, and be made investment ready. They also stand a chance of receiving seed investment from ShEquity.

Benefits

Startups and businesses that are accepted into the ShEquity Business Accelerator will benefit from it in the following ways:
  • Get help with preparing for investments of various kinds
  • Be recommended for investments of between $50,000 and $250,000 from ShEquity and other investors
  • Receive technical support from business development experts to help them grow
  • Get post-investment aid and growth-enabling resources

Eligibility

This program is open to businesses that meet the following criteria:
  • Must have at least 51% female ownership
  • Should be an enterprise in agribusiness, FMCG, healthcare, logistics, climate smart niches, and tech-enabled industries (EdTech, FinTech, CleanTech, etc.)
  • Be fully registered in an ECOWAS country
  • Must have been in operation for at least 24 months
