  In partnership with the FATE Foundation, the Scaling Up Nutrition Business Network (SBN) is organizing the 2023 edition of its annual business model pitch competition. NutriPitch 2023, as it is known, is a Business Model Research project, which is part of a larger grant program targeting several African countries, including Nigeria. If you run an enterprise that’s providing nutritious and affordable food products to a low-income customer base, here’s an opportunity you may want to take advantage of.

This business model pitch competition is built to identify and support business models that are solving the problem of delivering nutrition to less well-off communities, doing so for prices such populations consider affordable, and achieving both these while remaining profitable. Top applicants will receive technical assistance and grants that will enable them to improve and scale their operations.

Benefits

The NutriPitch 2023 program will benefit its participants in the following ways:
  • Attend and learn from a one-week pitch readiness boot camp
  • Take part in GAP advisory sessions
  • Get help with growth plan development
  • Participate in workshop and fireside sessions
  • Be mentored by experts for 4 months
  • Get a share of ₦10 million in grants

Eligibility

This opportunity is open to persons who meet these criteria:
  • Should be a Nigerian citizen aged between 25 and 50 as of January 2024
  • Must be the founder, owner, manager, or Chief Executive of a growth-stage agribusiness venture
  • Their venture should be focused on nutrition and innovation
  • Have at least 3 full-time staff who are skilled and in managerial positions
  • Registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission, currently operational, and generating income
  • Available to attend a one-week boot camp and other activities that are a part of the program
