  Qualcomm, a world leader in wireless technologies and innovation, is organizing a program which will help early-stage startups in Africa get the coaching, consultation, and exposure they need to become successful ventures. The Qualcomm Make in Africa Startup Mentorship Program, as it is called, will provide benefiting technology companies with mentorship, skilling, and visibility opportunities.

In addition, participating startups will get guidance on protecting their intellectual property, and will enjoy an audience with investors and industry leaders who could help them on their journey to achieving their aims.

Benefits

Companies chosen to take part in the Qualcomm Make in Africa Startup Mentorship Program will benefit from it in the following ways:
  • Get one-to-one mentorship sessions with leaders at Qualcomm
  • Be guided to product realization via engineering consultations
  • Attend masterclasses on product management, pitch clinic, IPR, and hardware architecture
  • Attend a Demo Day with the startup ecosystem
  • Connect with and engage various industry leaders, accelerators, VCs and other investors

Eligibility

This program is open to early-stage startups that are applying advanced connectivity and processing technologies to end-to-end system solutions (hardware and software).

Lead Up to the Program Finale

Applications will remain open until February 18, 2024. Successful startups will be shortlisted in March, and the program will run from April to November.
