Pitch AgriHack aims to identify and spotlight tech-driven solutions to challenges in the agricultural space, which have become a more pressing concern in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. It will provide funding and ongoing support to winners, which should enable them to scale their impact on Africa’s food systems. This competition is managed by Generation Africa and sponsored by Heifer International.

Winning participants and runners-up will reap these benefits from the Pitch AgriHack competition:
  • Take a share of the $45,000 prize money on offer
  • The competition is divided into three segments: Early stage, Mature or Growth stage, and Women-Led. There will be a winner and runner-up for each of these three categories, who will receive $10,000 and $5,000 in prize money each
  • Participants also have their work promoted on the continental stage
  • Finalists will have access to the AGRF Deal Room, which will be attended by more than 800 companies, 15 government delegations, and 150 private and public investors, and explore new partnership and investment opportunities
