Applications are currently open for the Orange Corners Nigeria Incubation Program. This is an initiative funded by the Kingdom of the Netherlands and implemented by the FATE Foundation. It exists to empower young aspiring entrepreneurs with the skills, market access, and financing they need to turn their ideas into successful businesses.

In the past 5 years, the Orange Corners Incubation Program has nurtured 180 businesses through 9 cohorts, via training, master classes, coaching, and mentoring. It has provided them with funding and granted them access to potential customers and ready markets. This program targets young people between the ages of 18 and 35 who have a business concept.

Benefits

This program offers the following benefits to participants:
  • Training in enterprise management, covering concept development, design thinking, market strategy, operations management, people management, raising financing, budgeting and financial reporting, among others
  • Business growth advisory (accounting, legal, tax, HR, marketing, and digital)
  • Business registration with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC)
  • Access to markets
  • Business funding
  • Mentorship

The Application Process

The application process will unfold in two stages:
  • Stage One
Applicants complete the online application form, providing their passport photograph, school certificate or statement of result, birth certificate, and CAC registration (optional)
Register to attend the CN Business Mixer
  • Stage Two
The program’s organizers will shortlist 30 candidates for a 2-day boot camp which will lead up to a pitch competition. The top 20 candidates from the pitch will proceed to the incubation program, which will last for 6 months. Applications will remain open until February 18, 2024.
