This initiative is dedicated to supporting up to fifteen of Africa’s most promising for-profit startups committed to advancing the health and sustainability of the ocean ecosystem.

With a vision to counteract global warming, combat overexploitation, and mitigate pollution of the oceans, OceanHub aims to cultivate an economy that harmonizes with ecological well-being. Leveraging its extensive network of stakeholders and facilitators, OceanHub Africa offers an innovative hybrid program aimed at identifying sustainable pathways for generating stable returns on investment (ROIs) and fostering scalable growth opportunities across Africa.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Startups must demonstrate a clear commitment to ocean stewardship, either directly or indirectly impacting ocean-related challenges such as climate change, pollution, or overexploitation.
  • Entities must operate as for-profit organizations within the African continent.
  • Offerings must entail scalable services or products either already available on the market or in the imminent stages of launch.
  • Demonstration of innovation in product/service offerings or disruptive business models.
  • Exploration of investment opportunities or new market expansion.
