The National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) has announced a scholarship for persons who want to begin a career in blockchain technology, and would like to acquire the skills they would need to do so. If you apply for this program, you could be one of 30,000 people across Nigeria selected to undergo training in blockchain technologies.
According to KashifuInuwa, the Director General of NITDA, the training is aimed at accelerating blockchain adoption in Nigeria, and could enable the country to become “a global player in the blockchain industry”.
NITDA says that the program will take place in all 36 states of the federation, and will have 30,000 persons enrolled in it. They are expected to acquire skills with which they can build real life blockchain solutions, and play a role in the unfolding fourth industrial revolution.
BSV Blockchain Academy will provide the course content for the training. DomineumBlockchain Solutions will implement the program, which will be a mix of virtual and in-person sessions.
Benefits
Persons selected to participate in the training will benefit from it in the following ways:
•Take advantage of a scholarship to learn key emerging technologies
•Become skilled at developing blockchain solutions
•Outstanding teams from the program’s project phase will stand a chance of joining an incubation program in London
•Begin on the path to building global solutions and earn from doing so
Eligibility
This training is open to anyone who meets these criteria:
•Can devote at least 20 hours per week to the training sessions
•Have reliable internet connection for virtual sessions
