Nalafem, an organization striving for an improvement in the lives of women and girls in Africa, is collaborating with Mexoxo, a non-profit organization that empowers women, to train 20,000 young women in various skills. This program will be executed through the Nalafem eCornell University ‘Take the Lead’ program. The course is developed by faculty at the prestigious Cornell University.

The Take the Lead program will walk participants through 20 hours of online courses, delivered through eCornell. These courses will cover leadership, entrepreneurship, career exploration, and time management. They will prepare the women who take part in post-secondary education, employment, and involvement in civic life.

Eligibility
The Nalafem eCornell University Take the Lead Course is open to persons who meet these criteria:
- Must be from Nigeria
- Aged under 40 years
- Have reliable access to the internet to participate in the program
